Valour Sport is an Australian-owned sports apparel business designing and manufacturing custom apparel for sporting clubs, associations, schools and commercial organisations across Australia.

From grassroots clubs through to elite sporting organisations, we work with our clients to deliver apparel programs built around quality, innovation, performance and service.

As we continue to grow our presence in South Australia, we're looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our team and take ownership of growing Valour's wholesale business across the state.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a genuine business development role for someone who enjoys getting out into the market, building relationships, opening doors and turning opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.

Based from our South Australian warehouse and regularly on the road, you'll be responsible for developing new wholesale business across sporting clubs, associations, schools and commercial organisations.

While you'll work with some existing Valour clients, the primary focus is growth. You'll build your own pipeline, identify opportunities within the South Australian market and convert new relationships into sustainable revenue.

For the right person, there is also potential to expand into additional territories as the role develops.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Identify, prospect and secure new wholesale business across South Australia

Develop relationships with sporting clubs, associations, schools and commercial organisations

Build and actively manage a strong sales pipeline

Grow selected existing accounts through proactive relationship management and identification of new opportunities

Meet with prospective clients to understand their requirements and develop commercially appropriate apparel solutions

Manage opportunities from initial introduction and product discussions through quoting, negotiation and close

Work closely with Valour's internal design, production,



operations and client experience teams to transition new business successfully

Identify emerging opportunities, market trends and competitor activity within the territory

Represent Valour at meetings, industry events and sporting environments

Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline and forecasting information

Report directly to the Managing Director on pipeline, opportunities and territory performance

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, comfortable creating their own opportunities and confident building relationships at every level.

You'll ideally bring:

Demonstrated business development or sales experience, with a track record of winning new business

Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation and closing skills

Experience within sport, sporting administration, apparel, teamwear or a related industry is highly regarded

An existing network within the South Australian sporting community would be a strong advantage

The confidence to work autonomously and manage a territory

Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify genuine growth opportunities

Excellent communication, presentation and time-management skills

A proactive, results-focused approach and willingness to get out from behind the desk

We also recognise that some of the strongest commercial operators in sport have built their careers through the game itself.
Current or former professional and semi-qualified athletes with proven sales or commercial experience are encouraged to apply. Salary will be positioned based on experience and industry experience.
