Clear Thinking Mental Health Group is seeking aPsychologist or Probationary Psychologistto join our team in Ballarat, VIC. This can be afull-time or part time positionthat offers a meaningful opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of individuals and families within our community. As a Psychologist or Probationary Psychologist, you will deliver evidence-based psychological services, contributing to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality mental health support. This role is integral to our service delivery and allows you to develop your clinical expertise whilst working collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. Supervision is available for probationary psychologists and peer group supervision is available to all psychologists. We are looking for people who are looking to settle into a role and enjoy being part of a excellent team workplace over the longer term.
What you'll be doing depending on skill level and expertise.
Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients across diverse presentations and age groups
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Delivering a range of psychological therapies, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and other contemporary approaches
Maintaining detailed clinical documentation and case notes in accordance with qualified standards and organisational requirements
Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, counsellors, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care




Participating in clinical supervision and peer consultation activities to support professional development and clinical excellence
Contributing to outcome measurement and evaluation of psychological interventions to inform service improvement
Supporting clients and families with empathy, professionalism and clinical competence
Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements

What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for registration as a Probationary Psychologist in Australia
A qualification in Psychology (Bachelor degree minimum; Master's or postgraduate qualifications in clinical, counselling or health psychology are advantageous)
Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic approaches
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with the ability to formulate presentations
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Demonstrated commitment to professional development, reflective practice and adherence to the Australian Psychological Society Code of Ethics
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong organisational and time management skills,



with the capacity to manage a varied caseload
Sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations and a commitment to culturally responsive practice
Previous experience in mental health service delivery is desirable but not essential, particularly in community-based or public health settings
