The business has been producing vegetables for fresh market for over 60 years and prides itself on the quality of its produce and is renowned for consistency and excellence.The business runs a broad range of agricultural equipment, tractors, implements, diesel bore systems and other plant and equipment.The team is made of both family members and a culturally diverse team of skilled workers.Located in a regional area, you will have access the comforts of a lower cost of living and a warm and friendly community.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of agricultural machinery and equipment used across the farms.The role requires someone reliable, self-motivated, and capable of managing day-to-day mechanical tasks with a high level of autonomy, while working within the priorities of the broader farm operation.You will work as part of a culturally diverse team within a family-owned business and be trusted to operate independently while contributing to the smooth running of the wider operation.With full use of the workshop, the role also offers the opportunity to take on external work (at the discretion of Management) where appropriate, provided this does not take precedence over the needs of the farm.Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, and repair tractors, implements, farm machinery, plant,



and equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faultsCarry out preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtimeMaintain and repair diesel engines and related componentsAssist with maintenance of bore pumps, water systems, and related farm infrastructureComplete general workshop duties and maintain accurate records of work completedIdentify potential mechanical issues and recommend practical repair solutionsSupport day-to-day farm operations by keeping machinery secure, reliable, and operationalSkills and ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you will ideally have:Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Agricultural Mechanic, or equivalentExperience working with agricultural machinery, tractors, implements, or similar equipmentStrong diagnostic and fault-finding skillsAbility to work independently and manage tasks without constant supervisionCurrent driver's licenceA practical, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to workWillingness to work in a remote/regional areaAbility to work respectfully within a culturally diverse teamDesirable but Not EssentialLight welding experiencePrevious experience working on a farm or in a rural mechanical environmentExperience with both modern and older agricultural machineryWhat's on OfferFull-time role with a respected family-owned and operated agricultural businessOpportunity to work across a broad and varied range of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructureA practical, hands-on role offering autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to make sound day-to-day decisionsSponsorship may be considered for the right candidate, depending on skills and experienceFull use of the workshop, providing additional earning potential for the right candidate
