As a Chef at The Husk Bakery and Cafe, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest level of quality and taste.
You will work closely with our Head Chef and other team members to create and maintain our menu, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer requestsEnsure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standard of quality and tasteWork closely with the Head Chef and other team members to develop and maintain menu offeringsMonitor and maintain inventory levels,



ensuring that all necessary ingredients and supplies are availableMaintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene standardsTrain and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as neededAdhere to all health and safety regulations and proceduresKeep up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve the menu offeringsAssist with ordering and receiving of food and supplies as neededRequirements:Certificate IV in cookery or aboveMinimum of 12 months of experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulationsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a quick-paced environment and handle multiple tasksPassion for creating high-quality food and providing exceptional serviceFlexibility to work weekends and holidays as neededThis is a full-time position with a salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
The position also includes superannuation benefits.
The successful candidate will be expected to work 38 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours during peak periods.
