Our client, a Federal Government agency, is seeking skilled Support Officers to join their team. This role is integral to managing and processing compensation claims related to injury and health conditions.

As a Support Officer, you will provide detailed and sensitive support in the assessment of claims. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and apply your knowledge of policies, legislation, and records management systems to ensure accurate and timely outcomes. You will exercise sound judgment within established guidelines and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive, document, and process claims in accordance with relevant legislation and policy
Manage inbound and outbound communications with clients and their representatives, handling enquiries professionally and with care
Maintain accurate client records by creating, updating, and correcting files within internal systems
Analyse complex client information to support eligibility assessments and determinations




Prepare initial claim assessments and escalate to appropriate decision-makers
Review and approve invoices related to reimbursement claims
Collaborate with colleagues and other teams to support effective decision-making
Process client requests, including withdrawals, and respond to related correspondence
Support team capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Contribute to training and continuous improvement of processes and system

What you will get in return:
9 month contract plus extension
$54.88 per hour + Super hourly rate
