We are genuinely excited to be looking for another GP to join our growing team at Dubbo Health Hub and, more than anything, we are looking for the right person.

You might be newly fellowed or have many years of experience in General Practice. You may have particular clinical interests you would like to develop, or simply enjoy the breadth and variety of General Practice and looking after people and families over many years. We are open to all of that.

Our standard consultations are 20 minutes. We know that not every consultation needs that long, but sometimes it takes time to work out what is really going on, particularly when someone’s health is affected by a number of different things or the reason they have come to see you isn’t necessarily the first thing they tell you. We want our doctors to have time to listen, think and provide the care they believe their patients need, without every consultation feeling like a race against the clock.

We also want the people who work at DHH to enjoy working here. We value skilled autonomy, flexibility,



ongoing learning and genuine collegial support. We want our team to know each other well enough to ask for advice, talk through a difficult situation, share knowledge and have a laugh together.

We would love to find someone who cares about their patients, enjoys working collaboratively, is curious and reflective, and wants to keep learning. Clinical excellence matters to us, but so do kindness, humility and a sense of humour.

Dubbo offers broad and engaging rural medicine within a thriving medical and teaching community, including the University of Sydney School of Rural Health. It is also a excellent place to build a life outside medicine, with excellent schools and sport, Taronga Western Plains Zoo, the Macquarie River and direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
