About the role
As Safety & Compliance Lead , you will lead theplanning,deliveryandcontinuous improvement of Tennis Australia's compliance, permitting and safety assurance programs across our venues and major events, including the Australian Open.
Working closely withregulators,consultantsandinternal stakeholders,you'llensure our venues andeventsremainsafe,accessibleandcompliant while driving governance and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
In this role you willbe responsible for:
Leading regulatorycompliance,permitandapproval processes, including Place of Public Entertainment (POPE) approvals and stakeholder engagement with relevant authorities
Driving safety, compliance and governance frameworks across major events,venuesand infrastructure projects
Leading accessibility compliance initiatives to ensure inclusive and accessible experiences forpatrons,participantsandstakeholders
Supporting and continuously improving Tennis Australia's Safety Management System, complianceassuranceactivitiesandrisk controls
Developing and overseeing contractor and property compliance programs, including Essential SafetyMeasures,trainingandcompliance reporting
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Demonstrated experience in safety, compliance, risk, facilities, event operations or governance roles within complex organisations or major event environmentsis highly regarded
Robust knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, with experience interpreting and applying building,safetyand accessibility legislation
Ability to build trusted relationships with regulators, government authorities,consultants,contractorsandsenior stakeholders
Experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks,policies,systemsandcontinuous improvement initiatives
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical operational outcomes
Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
Preparedness to be flexiblein regard toworking hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
