Collar Care is currently seeking an experiencedMaintenance Officerto join a well-established aged care organisation in the ACT.
This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the delivery ofreactive and preventative maintenance, ensuring buildings, property and equipment are maintained to a high standard and that a safe environment is provided for residents, staff and visitors.

About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Completing preventative and reactive maintenance
Undertaking general handyman and building maintenance
Maintaining property, buildings and equipment
Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Coordinating and overseeing contractors when required
Identifying and escalating maintenance risks
Supporting compliance with relevant standards and WHS requirements
Maintaining accurate records relating to maintenance, consumables and expenses
Working collaboratively with staff, contractors,



residents and families
Responding to emergency maintenance requirements when required
The role is focused on maintaining asafe, functional and high-quality living environment for residents, staff and visitors.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
3-5 years' experiencein general handyman or building maintenance
Building trade qualifications or equivalent advanced maintenance knowledge and skills
Knowledge of building codes, standards and general maintenance practices
Understanding of WHS requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
The ability to work professionally with residents, families, staff and contractors
A genuine understanding and sensitivity towards working within a residential aged care setting
Aged care, retirement living or health experience is desirable.
Essential Requirements
Unrestricted full-time Australian work rights

Relevant maintenance/building experience
