The role
As the Materials Manager, you will lead theend-to-end materials management function, ensuring theuninterrupted supply of materials to support ourmanufacturingoperations.Reporting to the Operations Manager NSW, you willoversee purchasing, inventory control, materials planning,suppliermanagement,logistics, warehouse operations, and WIPmaterialsactivities.
Leading a team, you will drive inventory optimisation,supplierperformance,cost efficiencies, and continuous improvement whileensuring materials are available at the right time, quality, andcost.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead purchasing, supplier management, inventory control andmaterials planning activities.
Ensure the uninterrupted supply of materials tosupportmanufacturing,customer service and spare partsoperations.
Manage warehouse, receiving and logistics operations tooptimise material flow and inventory accuracy.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships,drivingperformance,service and cost improvements.
Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering astrong culture of safety, accountability andcontinuousimprovement.
Optimise inventory levels, working capital and supply chaincosts while maintaining service levels.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support theeffective use of SAP S/4HANA across the materialsfunction.
About you
You are an experienced supply chain leader with a strongbackground in materials management within amanufacturingenvironment.You have a proven ability to lead teams, buildsupplier relationships, optimise inventory, and drivecontinuousimprovement.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A degree in Supply Chain, Operations,Engineering,Business,or a related field.
Experience in materials management, supply chain,procurement, or manufacturing operations.
Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or a similar ERP/MRPsystem.
Experience in inventory optimisation, supplier management,and production support.
Excellent communication and stakeholder managementskills.
Highly regarded:
APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ProjectManagementqualifications.
Experience in appliance, HVAC, automotive, orindustrialmanufacturingenvironments.
Exposure to multi-site or regional supply chainoperations.
