Responsible for the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders and the dispatching of goods. The incumbent will possess a range of pharmaceutical warehousing skills and be expected to carry out a variety of tasks supporting pharmaceutical warehousing without direct supervision when applying these skills. The incumbent will be expected to perform to LINK standards in all accredited skill areas and to have a detailed understanding of the processes which drive those aspects of the pharmaceutical warehousing in which he or she is accredited.
Key Responsibilities
Handling Materials
Receive goods and process appropriate receipts
Process goods returned for credit
Pick and package goods for despatch
Convert all orders to pick slips and process
Maintain up to date records for all despatched goods
Assemble urgent orders as required
Assemble all orders in a timely manner
Maintain integrity of stock and perform stock rotation
Inventory
Establish systems to facilitate handling of inventory
Increase efficiencies through implementation of best work practices
Ensure all stock transactions are accurately recorded
Warehouse Maintenance and Compliance
Ensure all GDP requirements are within governmental regulation guidelines
Adhere to all safety instructions and workplace procedures
Report any identified hazards / accidents or incidents
Maintain up to date First Aid qualifications
Ensure warehouse is maintained in good order and condition
Administration
Ensure filing and documentation is up-to-date and is compliant with standard processes and formats
Complete required reports within designated timeframes (e.g. expenses, product samples etc)




Participate in meetings as needed
Liaise with management and staff to ensure projects are conducted efficiently
Communicate with staff & management using proper channels
Master computer skills and required software programs
Knowledge and Compliance
Maintain a current and comprehensive knowledge of relevant LINK, competitors and general products
Carry out your duties in adherence to GDP regulations
Contributes to a Quality-focused mindset; Quality is everyone's responsibility.
Ensure every team member has the opportunity to work in a safe and health work environment.
Understand the issues affecting the customers who prescribe our products and patients who use them
Promptly notify LINK's pharmacovigilance unit of all adverse reactions reported on LINK's products
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cutting-edge practices and techniques, current publications, regulations, etc
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LINK's standard operating procedures and policies and ensure compliance at all times
Ensure your Company related activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards
Demonstrated logistics experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical industry
Tertiary qualifications in logistics or similar is advantageous
A current first aid certificate is advantageous
Hold appropriate license for forklift operation, where appropriate
Hold accreditation for handling dangerous goods for consignment
Valuable computer literacy
Strong written and numerical skills
A thorough understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to work
