The role As part of our Hardware & ILS group, The Data Management Officer provides document and data management services across Saab programs and projects, working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure data, documentation, and media are accurately catalogued, securely stored, and readily retrievable.
Receive, register, control, and distribute customer and supplier documentation, data, and media.
Manage the distribution of controlled documentation, data, and media.
Receive and dispatch Defence Safe Hand items.
File, index, and retrieve records to support business and project requirements.
Prepare, register, and dispatch documentation, data, and media for delivery or archiving.
Track and report approved configuration changes to work products.
Support software releases by preparing status reports, Configuration Item Records (CIRs), and release documentation.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you Your skills and experience will include:
Minimum of 3 years' defence industry experience in project-based team or product engineering management environment (Desirable).
Proven ability in effective internal customer liaison.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge and experience in soft and hard copy data management within an engineering environment.
Experience in Defence Safe Hand practices.
Experience in using data management databases to register, control and distribute data, documents and media.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
