We're looking for an experienced Bulk Operations Manager to join our team at Welshpool. This is a hands‐on role where your leadership will have a direct impact on service delivery, customer outcomes, and business performance.
n
From Chain of Responsibility compliance to asset utilisation and customer KPIs, you'll drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while leading a high‐performing team.

What you'll be responsible for:

Operational Excellence
n

Lead all bulk operations with safety as the number one priority
n
Maximise fleet and workforce productivity to meet customer demand
n
Ensure subcontractor and operational compliance with company standards
n
Drive full utilisation of technology across operations
n
Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
n
n
Safety & Compliance Leadership
n
n
Own Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management compliance
n




Lead monthly toolbox meetings and risk control activities
n
Ensure compliance with HSEQ, QA, and regulatory frameworks
n
Deliver lead indicator activities and close out corrective actions on time
n
n
People & Culture
n
n
Lead teams in line with our Five Pillars

Build capability through training, development, and succession planning
n
Manage performance clearly, fairly, and consistently
n
Build trusted relationships with customers, regulators, and industry bodies

About you:
n
You are a confident, decisive leader who understands bulk transport operations inside and out. You balance safety, compliance, and commercial performance without compromise.
n
You will bring:
n
n
5+ years' operational management experience in bulk transport or logistics
n
Strong knowledge of transport legislation, CoR, and fatigue management
n
Proven ability to lead large teams and complex operations
n
Solid financial acumen with a focus on cost control and productivity
n
Degree in Transport & Logistics (or equivalent experience)
n
n
