The Team
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) are a tertiary level public multidisciplinary mental health service providing services to children and young people and their families living in the community with a mental illness.
The Role
Join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CYMHS) and play a key role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and their families across Southern Tasmania. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, treatment and case management services, while contributing to quality mental health outcomes and evidence-based care.
You will need
Demonstrated experience in assessing and treating children and young people with mental health concerns, preferably with at least two years' post-graduate clinical experience
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build relationships with families and external agencies
A commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and delivering evidence-based, child-centred mental health care.
Details of appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$117,272 to $126,182 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement ****

Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or
Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW; or




Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Dietitians Australia and is eligible for full membership with Dietitian Australia
Current Working with Children Registration.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Current Driver's Licence
Postgraduate experience in mental health in relation to CYMHS
