Experience in a wide range of maintenance preferred. Preventative maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, & electrical troubleshooting.

JOB TITLE DEFINITION:

Review & understand permissibility requirements
n
Proper splicing & troubleshooting techniques for underground cables
n
Service all face equipment to fit in mining cycle
n
Read electrical prints for equipment
n
Perform chain & crawler maintenance
n
Proper cribbing and blocking techniques
n
Operate all face equipment
n
Maintain CO monitor & communications
n
Troubleshoot & install leaky feeder & fiber optic cables
n
Fire suppression testing
n
Downshift – change major components on all equipment
n
Understand and service longwall mining equipment
n
Understand basics around CAT CST system
n
Fix sensors on shield electrics & troubleshoot electrics
n
Grease all appropriate components
n




Understand the tailgate tension cylinder and correct operation
n
Change backflush filter and water pump filters
n
n
REQUIREMENTS
n
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
n
n
2+ years of underground experience
n
MSHA Certified Electrical Card holder & Illinois Electrical Certificate
n
n
Compensation at an attractive hourly rate of $*****.
n
