Job Description
n
Own the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely monthly financial reporting, including P&L;, balance sheet and management commentary
n
Maintain the general ledger and oversee key balance sheet and control accounts, ensuring accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment
n
Own and continually improve the financial control environment as the business grows
n
Partner with department leaders and the CFO, providing financial insight and commercial challenge to support decision-making
n
Lead monthly financial performance reviews, reporting on P&L;, KPIs, budgets and variances
n
Own the annual budgeting process and drive ongoing forecasting, financial planning and scenario modelling
n
Lead year-end reporting and audit, and manage tax and compliance obligations (BAS, income tax, FBT, ASIC) across all group entities
n
Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury management and the company's FX hedging programme
n
Oversee fortnightly payroll processing and ensure compliance with PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and relevant awards
n
Manage supplier payments and relationships, and drive improvements to commercial terms
n
Lead financial analysis and modelling to support pricing, ROI and investment decisions
n
Own and optimise core finance systems, driving automation and process improvement
n
Lead and develop a high-performing Finance team
n

Requirements
n
n
CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
n
Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or in a similar commercial finance role.
n
Experience in a retail, FMCG or consumer product business is highly regarded.
n
Experience operating in a founder-led or high-growth SME workplace, comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic input.
n
Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial control capability.
n




Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
n
Demonstrated budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
n
Experience payroll processing and compliance, including awards, superannuation and payroll tax.
n
Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
n
Strong systems capability, with experience using Xero highly regarded.
n
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the business.
n
Strong attention to detail, combined with the ability to understand and communicate the broader commercial picture.
n
A proactive and continuous-improvement mindset.
