Reporting to the Site Operations Manager and based at our Geelong Wire Mill, you will oversee and co-ordinate all technical, quality assurance and environmental matters associated with the manufacture of galvanized wire and wire products onsite.
n
Geelong Wire Mill has been proudly manufacturing in Australia for more than 70 years. InfraBuild Wire is the only Australian wire manufacturer using Australian steel to produce Australian-made wire products. Our operation is diverse, with high-speed wire drawing machines producing an extensive range of medium and low carbon wire, a continuous-operation galvanising plant, and specialised rural fencing machinery.

What you will be doing:
n
n
Lead Safety & Risk Management: Drive a proactive safety culture toward Goal Zero, ensuring safe systems of work, risk control and team accountability.
n
Manage Environmental Compliance: Oversee ISO***** systems, regulatory reporting and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
n
Ensure Quality Excellence: Maintain ISO**** standards, lead audits and drive product quality and customer satisfaction outcomes.
n
Deliver Operational Performance: Manage budgets, costs, and technical initiatives to improve efficiency,
performance and innovation.
n
Lead & Develop People: Manage a small team and build capability through recruitment, performance management and ongoing development.
n

What you will bring:
n
n
Extensive experience in process engineering, continuous improvement and process control, with strong Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma capabilities (Green Belt or above).
n
Proven success working with quality management systems, including ISO **** compliance and auditing.
n
A data-driven approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver measurable operational improvements.
n
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive performance across a variety of teams.
n
Experience leading and embedding operational and cultural change initiatives within complex manufacturing environments.
n
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with Electrical Engineering backgrounds also welcomed.
n
Established experience working in Australian manufacturing environments and confidence navigating local standards, compliance requirements and industry best practice.
n
