Department and Location: Maternity Department, The Mater hospital, North Sydney

About the Role
As a New Graduate Midwife, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and confidence while providing safe, respectful and woman-centred care throughout the maternity journey.
You will be supported to develop your skills across areas including:
Antenatal,
intrapartum and postnatal care
Supporting women during labour and birth
Maternal and newborn assessment and ongoing care
Recognition and escalation of clinical concerns
Supporting breastfeeding and early parenting
Documentation and clinical handover
Working collaboratively with obstetric, neonatal and multidisciplinary teams
Promoting respectful, culturally safe and individualised maternity care
About You
We are looking for a new graduate who is:
Eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife with Ahpra
Passionate about providing safe, respectful and woman-centred care
Enthusiastic about learning and developing clinical skills
A strong communicator and team player
Able to work effectively in a busy maternity workplace
Committed to professional development and reflective practice
Compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental
Willing to ask questions, seek support and take opportunities to learn
