Working alongside teachers, you will support students within a Christ-centred learning workplace while contributing to the nurturing and supportive culture that defines our school community.

ABOUT THE POSITION
n
As a Learning Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting student engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning programs.
n




Assisting individual students and small groups within classroom settings.
n
Providing additional support for students with diverse educational and learning needs.
n
Helping implement teacher-directed learning strategies and individual learning plans.
n
Encouraging student confidence, independence and participation.
n
Building positive and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
n
Assisting with supervision duties and school activities as required.
n
n

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

A genuine passion for supporting children and seeing them flourish.
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
n
Commitment to supporting student learning and wellbeing.
n
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
n
Demonstrated commitment to the Christian faith and active involvement in a local church community.
n
n
The following would be advantageous:
n
n
Certificate III or IV in Education Support or a related qualification.
n
Previous experience working in a school environment.
n
Experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
n
n
Applicants from other professional backgrounds with transferable skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
