Job Description
Talent STEM are partnering with an established manufacturing business in Newcastle seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrical Technician to join their engineering team.
n
This hands-on role involves maintaining and improving production equipment within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, supporting equipment reliability, minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
n
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery
n
Support Siemens PLC fault finding and diagnostics
n
Work with AC/DC drives and industrial control systems
n
Assist with equipment installations and commissioning
n
Maintain records using the CMMS system
n
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
n
Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures including LOTO and permit-to-work systems
n
n
Requirements
n
n
Completed Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
n
HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
n
Experience fault finding on Siemens PLC systems
n
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and schematics
n
Experience within manufacturing, production or process environments
n
Knowledge of drives, Profibus or Profinet would be advantageous
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
