JOB SUMMARY:
n
The overall scope of theWorkshop Technicianposition is to carry out service and repairs to customer and
companyownedMobileElevating
Work
Platforms(MEWP),Telehandlers,andLightingTowers
in the workshop and in the field when requested.
n
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
n
n
Evaluating performance of equipment
n
Inspecting designs and finished products for compliance with specifications
n
Installing,
testing,servicing,repairing,and
modifying
electronic,mechanical,andhydraulic
equipmentand machines. May work with other types of equipment on occasion such as hydraulic hoses, small diesel engines,etc.
n
Conducting pre delivery inspections andassessing machines to ensure they are in good workingorder.
n
Conduct repairs and maintenance of customer and
JLGownedMEWP,Lighting
TowersandTelehandlers.
n




Assist with the training and supervision ofApprentices.
n
Abide by specific site instructions including Workplace Health & Safety and
Environmentalpolicies.
n
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, ensure all tools used are in valuable workingorder.
n
Responsible for completing all appropriate paperworkand inspection forms required by ANZStandards and also by customer and/or siterequirements.
n
Conduct three monthly and annual inspections of machinesMEWPin accordance with JLG and ANZ industrystandards.
n
Participate in pre-start meetings and toolboxtalks.
n
Maintain personal
retailLabourutilizationrates
as pertarget.
n
Generating sales and service leads where possible and collaborating with theteam.
n
General ad-hoc duties asrequired.
n
n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
n
n
Previous experience in a similar role– experience with
mechanical,hydraulic,and
electrical advantageous
n
Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical, or related field
n
Ability to effectively communicateboth written andverbal.
n
Proficient Language, Literacy and Numeracy including the ability to write job notes, read safety information, machinemanuals,and understand basic numeracy such as time,
partsnumbers,andquantities.
n
Ability to work independently and as ateam.
n
