Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder and Metal Fabricator to join our team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, assembly, finishing, and installation of stainless-steel commercial kitchen equipment and related metalwork.
This is a hands-on position requiring technical welding and fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both in a workshop environment and at commercial installation sites.
Salary: 80K – 90K Employment type: Fulltime Location: Travelling across multiple locations in Australia Key Duties and Responsibilities Fabricating stainless steel and other metal components for commercial kitchens in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and measurements.
Measuring, marking, cutting, bending, shaping, and preparing stainless steel and other materials for fabrication.
Performing TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and other metals as required.
Welding and fabricating commercial kitchen equipment including stainless steel benches, sinks, tables, cabinets, shelving, splashbacks, counters, frames, and other custom items.
Assembling and fitting fabricated components to ensure accurate dimensions, alignment, and structural integrity.
Grinding, polishing, deburring, and finishing welded surfaces to achieve a high-quality commercial finish.
Inspecting completed fabrication and welding work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
Reading and interpreting workshop drawings, plans, measurements, and fabrication specifications.
Installing fabricated commercial kitchen equipment and stainless-steel fixtures at customer and construction sites.
Carrying out in office fitting, adjustments, modifications, and repairs where required.
Using welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, drills, press brakes, and other metal fabrication tools safely and efficiently.




Identifying and resolving fabrication and installation issues during production and on-site work.
Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment in safe and serviceable condition.
Following workplace health and safety requirements, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
Working collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, installers, builders, and other project personnel.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop and worksite.
Completing fabrication and installation work within required project schedules and quality standards.
Skills and Experience Required Demonstrated experience as a Welder / Fabricator , preferably within commercial kitchen, stainless steel, food-service, or general metal fabrication industries.
Competency in TIG welding, with MIG welding experience highly regarded.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, measurements, and specifications.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication machinery.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Ability to perform physically demanding duties associated with fabrication and installation work.
Ability and willingness to work at commercial and construction sites when required.
Relevant trade qualifications in Welding, Metal Fabrication or a related trade is preferred.
Work Environment The position involves a combination of workshop fabrication and on-site installation.
The employee will work with stainless steel and other metal materials and will be required to use welding equipment, fabrication machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
The role may involve lifting and handling materials, standing for extended periods, working in confined or awkward positions, and working at commercial construction and installation sites.
