Melbourne CBD Hybrid, 3 days in office | Full-time $120,000 + Superannuation + employee share options + bonus/commission If you like your Client Success roles to be mostly support tickets, routine check-ins and keeping the CRM tidy, this probably isn't the one.
Our client is a growing technology company working with senior leaders, boards and organisations across Australia and international markets.
They're looking for a Client Success Manager who can build trusted relationships, become genuinely close to the product and help clients get real value from the platform.
You'll own relationships from onboarding through to renewal, work with senior stakeholders and play an important role in making sure clients are engaged, supported and getting what they need.
This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding people, solving problems and joining the dots between the client, the product and the broader business.
What you'll be doing Your remit will be broad and will include: Owning client relationships from onboarding through to renewal Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders Becoming a genuine expert in the platform and how clients use it Helping clients understand functionality, configuration and best practice Guiding new clients through onboarding and adoption Monitoring engagement and usage to identify risks and opportunities Supporting retention and helping clients continue to see value over time Identifying appropriate opportunities to grow accounts where there is a genuine client need Bringing useful client feedback and insight back into the business Working closely with Product and Engineering to improve the client experience Supporting testing and quality assurance of new functionality Resolving client issues quickly, thoughtfully and with strong follow-through Using data to understand account health and client needs Maintaining accurate client records and activity in HubSpot Helping improve and scale Client Success processes as the business grows This is not about constantly trying to sell something else.
It is about understanding the client well enough to know where there is more value to create and having the commercial awareness to recognise an opportunity when it is genuinely there.
The environment This is a sophisticated client environment.
You'll work with senior stakeholders including chairs, directors, executives and company secretaries, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating with people who are time-poor, experienced and used to high standards.
That does not mean being overly formal.
It means being prepared, responsive, thoughtful and able to build trust quickly.
The business is growing internationally, which means the Client Success function is evolving too.

There are established ways of working, but there is also plenty of opportunity to improve how onboarding, adoption, account health, feedback and client engagement are managed as the company scales.
You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales and the broader team, so this role suits someone who enjoys being part of the conversation rather than operating in a Client Success silo.
What we're looking for You'll ideally bring: Around three to five years' experience in Client Success, Customer Success, Account Management, consulting, qualified services or another sophisticated client-facing environment A strong track record of managing ongoing client relationships Confidence working with senior stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication Robust commercial awareness An understanding of retention, account health and appropriate account growth Positive technology confidence and the ability to learn new systems quickly Strong organisation and attention to detail The ability to use client data and engagement information to identify useful insights Curiosity and strong problem-solving skills Excellent follow-through and personal accountability The ability to manage multiple client priorities without dropping the ball A collaborative approach across Product, Sales and Engineering Full Australian working rights Experience in B2B SaaS, technology, consulting or professional services would be particularly valuable.
You do not need experience working with boards or governance.
What matters far more is that you know how to manage sophisticated client relationships, learn a product properly and become someone your clients genuinely trust.
You'll need to like the product This role works best for someone who wants to understand how things actually work.
You won't be expected to write code or become an engineer overnight.
You will be expected to become genuinely confident in the platform.
That means understanding how different clients use it, where they get stuck, what good usage looks like and how to help someone get more value from it.
You'll also be an important bridge between clients and the product team.
When you hear the same question several times, notice a pattern in usage or spot something that could improve the client experience, you'll be expected to bring that insight back into the business.

What success will look like You'll know you're doing well when: Your clients trust you and value your involvement New clients have a smooth, well-managed onboarding experience Clients understand how to use the platform and where it can help them Engagement and adoption remain strong Potential risks are identified early rather than becoming surprises Renewals are well managed Appropriate account growth happens because clients can see additional value Useful client feedback reaches Product and Engineering Your accounts are organised, current and exceptionally well managed You are helping make Client Success better as the business grows The kind of person who will thrive here You'll probably be someone who naturally wants to understand what is going on beneath the surface.
If a client is quiet, you'll want to know why.
If engagement drops, you'll notice.
If someone is struggling with part of the platform, you'll want to understand the real problem rather than simply send them a help article and move on.
You'll also be comfortable taking ownership.
Clients should not need to chase you.
Internal teams should know they can rely on you.
And when something does go wrong, you'll stay close to it until it is properly resolved.
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room.
You do need to be credible, organised, curious and genuinely good with people.
Why this role is worth considering You'll get exposure to an unusually senior and sophisticated client base while working inside a growing technology company.
You'll be close to the product, close to commercial conversations and able to influence how the Client Success function develops as the business scales.
There is also plenty of variety.
One conversation might be about onboarding.
Another might be about product usage, a client issue, renewal planning, feedback for Engineering or an opportunity to deepen a relationship.
You'll be joining an ambitious team where attention to detail matters, people move quickly and good ideas do not have to travel through twelve layers of approval before anything happens.
The role is full-time and based in Melbourne CBD, with a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office.
The package includes: $120,000 + Superannuation A generous employee share option grant An additional commission or bonus component, with the final structure currently being confirmed The business is unable to provide visa sponsorship, so full Australian working rights are required.
If you're someone who enjoys really understanding your clients, getting close to the product and finding thoughtful ways to create more value, this could be a very good next move.
