Attorney-General's Department Job reference: ****** Location: **** - ADELAIDE Job status: Ongoing Eligibility: Open to Everyone Classification: ASO3 Salary Range: $74,095- $78,694 + Superannuation Duration: Ongoing Vacancy Type: Part Time Number of Positions Available: 1 Closing Date: 11:30pm, Tuesday 15 September **** About the Opportunity What the role entails: Reporting to the Team Leader, Regulatory Services, the Examiner - Letters of Administration is responsible for examining Statement of Accounts for deceased estates by administrators appointed by the Supreme Court under Grant of Letters of Administration and liaises with administrators and solicitors accordingly to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
What you'll need to succeed: Demonstrated ability to approach the position with initiative, and to work efficiently under limited supervision Ability to determine priorities and work flows and to cope with high volumes of work Experience in preparing accurate legal and court documents and drafting clear, skilled correspondence including letters and memos Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and packages including Excel, Access Database Knowledge of the principles of file management Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle enquiries courteously and effectively in busy environments Desirable: Para legal and accounting qualification (or working towards) or equivalent relevant experience in both areas Knowledge of submission of Estate Administration Accounts and correct interpretation Ability to be innovative and pro-active Knowledge of the Succession Act **** Knowledge of Public Trustee Office procedures and practices Understanding of legal terminology,



legal practices and court processes About the Business The Office of the Public Trustee (Public Trustee) operates as part of the Attorney-General's Department and was established on 1 January ****, under the Public Trustee Act **** (SA).
It offers services to South Australians, including will preparation, powers of attorney, and administration of deceased estates and trusts.
The Public Trustee is also responsible for managing the personal, legal, and financial affairs of individuals who are unable to handle these matters on their own.
