About the role: Rockmount is recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural steel manufacturing plant based in Smithfield, producing columns, rafters and beams.
They need a Boilermaker who can read a drawing without needing three cups of coffee first.
This is a Temp to Perm opportunity — you'll start on assignment through Rockmount, with a genuine pathway to permanent employment with our client.
What you'll be doing: • Reading and interpreting shop drawings for columns, rafters and beams • Tack welding assemblies • Building fixture jigs to hold components in place for welding and assembly • Oxy Cutting structural steel plate and sections to size, including weld bevel prep Requirements What you'll need:



• Minimum 4 years' post-trade experience in structural steel • CC2/CC3 project experience preferred • Ability to interpret shop drawings and self-check your own work • Trade Qualification in Fabrication or First Class Welding (or equivalent years of proven experience) Advantages Why take it: • 12-hour shifts, with weekend work also available for those chasing extra hours • Immediate start • Workshop-based — steady plant work, not bouncing between sites What's on offer: • $50–$60/hr depending on experience • 12-hour days, with weekend shifts available • Ongoing work with the option to go permanent with the client • Immediate start • Ongoing work through Rockmount
