General Manager, People Culture We are seeking applications for the position of General Manager, People Culture (P C).
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the General Manager, People Culture leads the operational delivery of the Group's People Culture strategy.
Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the function, the role oversees workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, talent management, learning and development, and remuneration and reward.
The General Manager, P C partners with business leaders to drive leading people practices, build organisational capability, support leaders, and help achieve business and workforce objectives.
This is a key leadership role for an experienced people professional who combines strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence, lead teams, and deliver outcomes in a complex and evolving environment.
What You'll Lead The General Manager, People Culture is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Group's People Culture function, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, practical, and business-aligned people services.
The role leads a team of P C professionals across workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, talent management, learning and development, and remuneration and reward, while building capability, consistency, and high performance within the function.
Working closely with General Managers and functional leaders, the role provides strategic and operational workforce advice, supports organisational effectiveness, and helps deliver workforce and business objectives.
As the senior escalation point for complex employee and industrial relations matters, the General Manager,
P C will provide expert guidance and support leaders through sensitive and complex situations.
The role also partners with Shared Services functions and Operations on workforce planning, labour management, and operational initiatives, contributes to organisational change and transformation programs, and ensures people considerations are embedded in business decisions.
A strong focus on governance, compliance, performance, and continuous improvement is critical, alongside building trusted relationships with senior leaders, employees, and external stakeholders.
About You You are a credible and commercially minded people leader who can influence at senior levels, navigate complexity, and lead through collaboration and sound judgement.
To be successful in this role, you will bring: Experience in a senior people leadership or advisory role.
Strong commercial acumen and an ability to align people initiatives with operational and business outcomes.
Demonstrated experience leading employee and industrial relations activities, including complex case management and dispute resolution.
Proven capability in workforce planning and labour management within a multi-site, complex, or regulated environment.
Experience leading teams and organisations through change and transformation.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills,
with the ability to operate effectively within senior leadership environments.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations frameworks, and workplace health and safety requirements.
A demonstrated ability to build capability and lead high-performing teams.
A strong track record of setting performance measures, reporting on outcomes, and delivering meaningful results.
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
High levels of integrity, sound judgement, and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
