Plan and deliver Religious Education lessons that foster spiritual growth, ethical understanding, critical thinking, and respect for diverse beliefs.

Salary Range: $85,694 to $141,638 plus superannuation. Salary is determined based on years of teaching service.

About the Role

A Religious Education (RE) Teacher plays a vital role in shaping students' moral and ethical understanding while exploring various world religions and belief systems.



By creating a classroom environment that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking, and empathy, RE teachers help students develop a deeper understanding of the diverse world around them. They foster respect, tolerance, and self-reflection, encouraging students to ask big questions about life, faith, and personal values. Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
n
ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
n
ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
n

To teach Religious Education in a Catholic school, a teacher must:

Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation D – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
