About the role:
The Principal Policy Adviser, Policy and Projects will lead the identification, development and implementation of priority hospital and health service policies, projects and initiatives across the state, whilst building robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders who represent a workforce, consumer and government lens. Initially, this role will have a focus on planned surgery and specialist care access policies and hospital at home policy settings.

About you:
Works closely with team members and work with other partners to coordinate advice on cross-portfolio strategic policy issues to identify and define problems, consult stakeholders, and develop options and creative, implementable policy solutions.
Comfortable working in complex policy spaces, with exceptional skills in policy development,



written and verbal communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving, and product development.
A proactive self-starter with a strong understanding of government processes and an ability to oversee work in a sensitive and rapid-paced environment.
Qualification:
A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy, business and/or management, or health administration would be desirable.
Specialist expertise:
Significant knowledge and experience in government, health sector and/or health service delivery would be desirable, with skills and experience in project management and implementation.
