Senior Business Analyst (Agile / Digital)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Agile / Digital Business Analystfor a leading IT consulting client in Sydney. Our client is a energetic and growing consulting firm with a focus on delivering innovative digital solutions to leading banks, ASX-listed companies, and government agencies.
n
Thisis a dual role that combines client delivery and internal practice developmentresponsibilities.
n
The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the software development lifecycle and ensuring that the business requirements are met. This includes writing user stories, EPICs, features, and test plans.
n
Some of the key responsibilities are to:
n
n
Lead the requirements gathering process by facilitating workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to identify and document business requirements.
n
Create user stories, EPICs, features, and acceptance criteria that capture the business requirements and align with the product vision and strategy.
n
Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the user stories are clear, concise, and actionable.
n
Create and maintain product backlog, prioritize user stories and manage the scope of the product.
n
Ensure that the product backlog is always up-to-date and reflects the current state of the product.
n
Work closely with the QA team to create test plans and ensure that the acceptance criteria are met during testing.
n
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Business Analysts and ensure that they are adhering to best practices and processes.
n




Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team and ensure that there is clear communication and understanding between the two parties.
n
Ensure that the Agile framework is being followed, and any issues or impediments are being addressed.
n
Continuously monitor and evaluate the product's performance against the key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
n

This is a leadership role which would involve supporting with practicedevelopment, including training and development of junior teams, providingleadership and oversight, and supporting business activities.

Requirements
n
n
Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
n
5+years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
n
Strongexperience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban,or Lean.
n
Experiencein writing user stories, EPICs, and test plans.
n
Strongunderstanding of software development lifecycle and processes.
n
Experiencein collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, UX/UI,and product owners.
n
Excellentcommunication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
n
Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
n
Abilityto manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
n
Experiencein mentoring junior Business Analysts is a plus.
n
Knowledge of Agiletools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello is a plus.
n
