Job DescriptionNice Builds is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our growing Brisbane-based construction company, to manage 47 townhouse projects in the Northside of Brisbane.This is a full-time role to oversee and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely delivery of our 47 townhouse construction projects.
You'll work closely with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and client representatives, acting as the primary on-site leader and mentor to your site team.This is a fast-hire position, so if you're ready to get started, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead site establishment, programme development, and pre-construction planning; manage the critical path across multiple townhouse stagesDirect all on-site construction activities from start to handover across townhouse projects and hold subcontractors accountable for quality and safety complianceConduct regular stage inspections, manage defect identification, rectification, the PCI process, and formal handover documentationEnsure full WHS compliance on site in accordance with the WHS Act **** (Qld), SWMS, and the company safety management plan; conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and incident reportingMonitor site costs, manage site access, document variations, and report budget performance to the Project ManagerProduce weekly progress reports, maintain daily site diaries, and liaise with certifiers, consultants, and clients throughout the buildInterpret construction plans and specifications; ensure work meets building codes,



internal standards and client expectationsCollaborate with the project team and operations to support continual improvementRequirementsCurrent QBCC Licence – Construction SupervisorCertificate IV in Building and Construction – Building5+ years of experience as a Site Supervisor in high volume townhouse development projects or a similar role delivering townhouse, duplex or multi- dwelling projectsProven trade background in carpentry or building is a strong advantageStrong working knowledge of the NCC/BCA, Queensland building codes, and QBCC licensing requirements as they apply to residential constructionValid driver's licence; ability to travel to build sites across QueenslandStrong understanding of residential build sequencing, quality control, and site management processesSound ability to interpret building plans, engineers' reports and specificationsExcellent leadership, communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and make sound site-level decisions while keeping the broader project team informedWhat We OfferCompetitive salary package $150k - $180kCompany vehicle and fuel card providedCompany-issued phone or tablet for work useFull-time, stable role with a recognised, high-quality builderSupportive team culture focused on career development and excellenceOpportunity to work on premium turnkey & custom residential builds across QueenslandAbout Nice BuildsNice Builds is a Brisbane-based construction company known for delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship across residential projects.
