About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking experienced Mechanical & Structural Site Supervisors to join our Mackay Operations Team for upcoming shutdown work across the Bowen Basin.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical maintenance and shutdown services across multiple mine sites.
Working 12-hour shifts on shutdown-specific rosters, you'll lead mechanical crews across predominantly Wash Plant shutdowns, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
With multiple back-to-back shutdowns already scheduled, this role offers consistent ongoing opportunities.
What You Will Be Doing
Supervising and coordinating daily activities of mechanical and structural crewsLeading shutdown works across Wash Plants and mining infrastructureEnsuring compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legislative requirementsPlanning, scheduling, and overseeing shutdown activities to meet project deadlinesPromoting a strong safety-first culture and leading by exampleMaintaining high standards of quality, productivity,



and environmental performanceBuilding and supporting a positive, high-performing team environment
What You Will Need
Previous experience supervising mechanical or structural shutdown crews within the mining industryStrong leadership and people management skillsCurrent S1, S2, S3 & G2 certificationCurrent Coal Board Medical or the ability to obtain oneExcellent communication and organisational skillsCommitment to workplace health and safetyCurrent Driver's Licence
