In this frontline role, you'll monitor beach and ocean conditions, provide preventative lifesaving services, respond to incidents and emergencies, and promote safe swimming practices across the City's beaches.What You'll Be DoingMonitor beach and surf conditions, identify hazards and maintain patron safetyPerform rescues, provide first aid and respond to emergency incidentsPromote beach safety, including safe swimming practices and hazard awarenessSupport compliance with relevant beach laws, regulations and policiesMaintain beach safety equipment and report hazards, damage or unsafe practicesComplete incident records, daily reports and liaise with emergency and marine safety groups as requiredWhat You'll BringSLSA IRB Drivers Certificate, Bronze Medallion and Advanced Resuscitation Certificate, or equivalentsCurrent Provide First Aid Certificate, driver's licence and National Police ClearanceConsiderable professional lifeguard or voluntary surf lifesaving patrol experienceStrong fitness, swimming ability and confidence in deep water, including annual fitness testingKnowledge of lifeguarding protocols,
