Job Task Analysis - Infrastructure LeadershipBe a leader in emergency management and promote resilience in the Kingston community.Full time permanent positionFlexible work options with up to two days per week working from home$113,****** - $127,****** per annum plus superannuation (dependent on experience)Based atCheltenham with occasional requirements to work at other locations or attend external meetings.About the teamThe Kingston Emergency Management team includes the Coordinator and Emergency Relief & Recovery Officer.
Together they are responsible for Kingston City Council's Emergency Management in partnership with other Council staff, emergency management agencies, and the broader community.About the roleWe are looking for a competent emergency management professional to join our team.
In this role, you will lead best practice emergency management and represent Kingston Council in the community.Other Responsibilities includeProvide guidance and assistance for risk based strategic planning and actions that prepare Council and its community for emergenciesSupporting Council's emergency preparedness, response, relief and recovery arrangementsCoordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of Council's emergency management plansCoordinating Council's authorised Municipal Emergency Management Officers (MEMOs) and Municipal Recovery Managers (MRMs)Prepare reports on emergency management issues for council and senior leadershipProvide emergency management strategic planning advice to CouncilParticipating in emergency management rosters, including Duty MEMO responsibilities and after-hours emergency response when requiredYour Skills and ExperienceDemonstrated experience in emergency management, emergency services, disaster recovery, community resilience, or a related fieldPrevious experience working in, or closely with,
