About the Role
As a
Travel Surgical Registered Nurse
, you will deliver high-quality perioperative and post‐operative nursing care in regional and remote settings.
You'll support patients through the surgical process, manage post‐operative recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams across diverse clinical environments.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pre‐operative and post‐operative nursing care
Monitor and manage post‐surgical patients, including pain management
Perform wound care, drains, and post‐operative assessments
Administer medications,



IV therapy, and blood products
Recognise and escalate deteriorating patients using clinical pathways
Maintain accurate documentation in line with NSW Health policies
Locations – Far West Local Health District (FWLHD)

What you'll need
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse – Division 1)
Minimum
1 year
recent Surgical or Medical‐Surgical nursing experience
Strong post‐operative assessment and clinical decision‐making skills
Current working rights in Australia (
urgent, non‐sponsorship role
)
