Overview / Responsibilities
Wood has an immediate opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our centrally located team in Perth, Western Australia.
Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Kazakhstan, and Sakhalin.

Reporting to the Lead Structural Engineer and working across
the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, detailed design)
, your focus will be
design, specification and services related to Structural and Civil Engineering
in support of our key clientele as part of an ongoing Engineering Service Contract.
You will be responsible for:
Working closely with the Engineering team to assist with detailed design and documentation requirements
Supporting engineers and designers for Offshore facilities SOW for Brownfield upgrades
Providing technical assistance to others when required
Building solid working relationships with the structural team and other discipline engineering groups
Qualifications
You must
be Australian citizens or hold Permanent Residency (PR) status to be considered for this role.
Ideally, you will be suitably qualified with a relevant Bachelor degree from a recognised institution and be working in a similar Structural Engineering role with relevant experience
in the
O&G; industry.
Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
You will have:
Experience in Structural design and engineering with exposure to the use of API, AISC and ISO design codes
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Exceptional analytical and numerical skills
Experience in the use of SACS, StaadPro software packages (desirable)
A "solutions mindset" complemented by effective time management skills with an ability to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing priorities
