Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Occupational Hygiene & HazMat Consultant to join our team and deliver high-quality workplace health, safety and HAZMAT solutions.As an Occupational Hygiene & HazMat Consultant, you'll:Recognise and measure workplace exposures, where worker health may be impacted by volatile chemicals, pathogens, vibration, noise or any number of potential workplace contaminants.Provide advice to effectively protect workers by informing hazard control strategies including respirators and ventilation, contamination remediation and world class education and training.Conducting Asbestos and hazardous material audits in commercial buildings, industrial facilities and residential propertiesAnalyse data, interpret results and prepare clear, high-quality technical reports, guidance documents and training materials.Support the delivery of small to medium-sized projects,



contribute to proposals and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.Work collaboratively with WSP's diverse subject matter experts across engineering, atmospheric sciences, contaminated land and in our labs to support our clients'.
Apply relevant legislation, standards and guidelines to ensure compliance and best practice.Promote a solid safety culture and uphold all SHEQ requirements.What you'll bring:Ideally a degree or diploma in Applied Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related disciplineAsbestos Assessor License or relevant experience to obtainDemonstrated experience in occupational hygiene or a related field such as chemistry, microbiology or human healthHands‐on experience in hazard identification, exposure monitoring and risk assessmentExperience using air sampling equipment and interpreting results (e.g. dust, fibres, asbestos)Strong technical report writing and data analysis skillsUnderstanding of relevant legislation, standards and risk management frameworksAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomesExcellent communication, collaboration and client engagement skillsA current driver's license and willingness to undertake field‐based workWhy WSP?
