We are seeking a DevOps Support Engineer who can provide technical support across Azure DevOps, CI/CD, release management, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and cloud platform environments.
You will work with business and technology stakeholders to resolve deployment issues, support configuration requests, investigate platform issues, and deliver low-to-medium complexity automation and release improvements across active client environments.

Core to the Role
Provide day-to-day DevOps support across client environments, including CI/CD pipelines, source control, build and release processes, infrastructure automation, deployment issues, and environment reliability.
Analyse
client issues and requests, then translate them into support actions, pipeline changes, automation updates, configuration changes, or technical remediation activities.
Prepare and
maintain
technical design documentation, deployment guides, test scripts, support runbooks, service updates, and stakeholder engagement materials.
Support release management activities, environment readiness, deployment validation, configuration changes, patches, rollback planning, and release-cycle testing.
Develop and
maintain
low-to-medium complexity automation, scripts, pipeline templates, infrastructure-as-code modules, and deployment improvements across supported platforms.
Build simple guides, support notes, test plans, release updates, and knowledge articles for clients, end users, and support teams.
Support service governance adoption, including ticket
prioritisation
, SLA commitments, documentation standards, knowledge management, access controls, change controls, and shared services processes.
Use Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines, APIs, PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure cloud services where
appropriate to
support delivery and issue resolution.
Track incidents, ticket trends, deployment issues, pipeline failures, platform outcomes, service outcomes, and client feedback
, then
recommend continuous improvements.
About You
You are an experienced DevOps support qualified with the ability to translate platform, application, release, and automation issues into reliable support outcomes.
You have a strong understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, infrastructure as code, scripting, cloud operations, monitoring, testing, release support, and support requirements across live client environments.
You are comfortable engaging with clients, application teams, infrastructure teams, service teams, and end users to deliver support services that are robust, practical, and aligned to business outcomes.
Professional Skillset
Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines, CI/CD practices, release management, infrastructure as code, PowerShell scripting, Azure services, monitoring tools, and support processes.
Experience supporting live cloud and application environments, deployment operations, client issue resolution, technical testing, release support, service delivery, and operational improvements.
Ability to investigate pipeline failures, deployment defects, configuration issues, scripting problems, integration errors, performance concerns, and environment-related support issues.
Ability to create technical specifications, deployment documentation, test scripts, support runbooks, technical notes, release notes, and support artefacts.
Confident facilitator with experience running workshops, triage sessions, support status meetings, technical walkthroughs, and stakeholder briefings.
Understanding of
DevOps support governance,
service management, SLA commitments, ticket
prioritisation
, knowledge management, documentation standards, change control, and release-cycle basics.
Secondary working knowledge of Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, APIs, data connectors, container platforms, and Microsoft cloud integration patterns.
Strong communication
, problem-solving, troubleshooting, documentation, automation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Education and Experience
5+ years' experience supporting Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, live client environments, application support, or solution delivery roles.
Experience supporting build and release pipelines, infrastructure automation, SIT, end-user coordination, UAT, go-live activities, ticket resolution, and managed services programs.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, YAML, PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, APIs, Azure Integration Services, and Microsoft cloud services.
Experience building support processes, deployment documentation, test plans, knowledge articles, service improvement actions, environment readiness checks, or client readiness plans.
Exposure to large complex client sites, Azure integrations, performance investigations,
containerised
applications, infrastructure as code, release automation, or broader Microsoft cloud delivery is desirable.
Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business systems, engineering, cloud computing, software development, or related field.
Candidates must be Australian citizens and be eligible to obtain and
maintain
an Australian Government security clearance.
Existing Australian Government security clearance is highly regarded.
