Position Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Mechanical Engineering Intern to join its team in Oakleigh, VIC.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or current student to gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the mechanical engineering team in designing and developing new products
- Conduct research and analysis to support product development
- Create and modify engineering drawings using CAD software
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects
- Participate in testing and troubleshooting of products
- Assist with documentation and technical writing
- Attend meetings and provide input on project progress
- Maintain a clean and organized work setting
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Proficient in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Passion for learning and a desire to gain hands-on experience in the field
- Available to work full-time for the duration of the internship
