Job Description – Hospitality Supervisor
Reports To:
Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager
Position Overview
The Hospitality Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the café, Gift Shop and hospitality areas, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, stock control and staff performance.
The role provides hands-on supervision of the team while assisting the Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager with the efficient and professional operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise hospitality staff during daily operations and provide direction and support as required.
Maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure a welcoming and skilled environment.
Manage stock control, including monitoring stock levels and minimising wastage.
Place stock orders and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
Receive deliveries, check stock and assist with putting away new stock.
Participate in regular stocktakes and investigate stock discrepancies where required.
Process and check invoices and assist with maintaining accurate purchasing records.
Liaise with suppliers, sales representatives and other business partners.
Prepare, serve and sell cocktails, mixed drinks, bottled and canned alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages.




Prepare a range of espresso-based coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos and other specialty coffees.
Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety, hygiene and presentation standards.
Provide operational support and backup to café and hospitality employees during busy periods, staff absences and breaks.
Assist with staff training, development and maintaining appropriate workplace standards.
Ensure opening, closing, cleaning and operational procedures are completed correctly.
Ensure compliance with responsible service of alcohol (RSA), food safety, workplace health and safety and company policies.
Assist with cash handling, POS operations and end-of-shift procedures where required.
Respond to operational issues and escalate significant matters to the Hospitality, Retail & Lounge Manager.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
