POSITION SUMMARY
Are you warm, outgoing and passionate about creating exceptional coffee experiences?
Pier One Sydney Harbour is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Barista to join our Food & Beverage team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve consistently high-quality espresso coffee and other beverages.
Provide warm, engaging and personalised service to every guest.
Confidently operate and maintain commercial coffee equipment.
Take guest orders accurately and process transactions efficiently.
Use your knowledge of the menu to make recommendations and identify sales opportunities.
Manage coffee orders efficiently during busy service periods.
Maintain presentation, quality and consistency across all beverages.
Monitor coffee beans, milk, takeaway supplies and other barista stock.
Keep the coffee station clean, organised and fully stocked throughout service.
Clean and maintain coffee machines, grinders and equipment in accordance with procedures.
Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Support the broader Food & Beverage team when required.

What We Value
Previous barista training and experience.
Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk texturing and coffee presentation.
The ability to produce consistently high-quality beverages during busy service periods.
A warm, positive and guest-focused personality.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays
