Our client WASH House is seeking an experienced and highly organised Administration and Finance Officer to provide high-quality financial, administrative and operational support across their growing organisation.
About the Opportunity...
This role provides practical financial, administrative and operational support that helps keep WASH House running smoothly.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys being organised, getting the details right and helping others do their jobs effectively.
One day you might be processing invoices and preparing information for the external bookkeeper; the next you could be coordinating a meeting, arranging travel, assisting with recruitment administration or finding a better way to manage an internal process.
You'll be part of the team that helps make sure the systems behind WASH House's important work are accurate, efficient and dependable.

What you'll need to succeed...
You'll suit this role if you're someone who takes pride in being organised, accurate and dependable.
You're comfortable managing competing priorities, you notice when something doesn't look right, and you enjoy creating order and improving the way things are done.
Importantly, you'll also understand that working at WASH House is about more than completing administrative tasks.
You'll share the organisation's commitment to respectful, inclusive and culturally safe practice and be comfortable working within a feminist framework.

Selection Criteria...
Relevant qualification in business administration, finance
or
equivalent demonstrated experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an administration and business support role
Experience with financial administration including invoices, purchase orders, expenses, reimbursements and financial documentation
Experience using Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software




Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience maintaining financial records for bookkeeping or external finance functions
Understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
Demonstrated ability to identify better ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
The ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion
Strong written and verbal communication skills including ability to prepare accurate reports
Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
Strong alignment with WASH House Vision and values and commitment to advancing organisational goals
Commitment to working within a feminist framework and understanding of the issues and needs of the diverse communities served by WASH House
