As Technical Support Analyst you will provide first and second level technical support on all systems within the Markets Line of Business, this includes Trading (ASX and ASX24), Reference Data Management, Market surveillance, Market Announcements, Regulatory Data Feeds, BBSW, Clearing, Risk and Margining systems.
Your Responsibilities:
Provision
of
2nd
level
support
for
ASX
Trade
and
its
interfaces
to
both
internal
and
external
customers
for
Production and
Business
Continuity environments and supporting the Non-Functional Testing & IWT.
Troubleshoot
issues
relating
to
ASX Trade,
customer
connections, Surveillance systems,
Interfacing applications
and
internal




Integrations involving complex data flows
Undertake
the
day-to-day operations of
the
platforms,
including
Production
monitoring,
incident
resolution
and
management,
problem identification,
prioritisation
and issue management
for the
various production, test and development
environments.
Maintenance
of
technical
documentation
by
the
team
for
operational
support
Participate
in
non-functional
testing
and
requirement
reviews
by
projects
and
BAU
releases
Assist in
the implementation
of software release through various environments.
Ensure Change Control process
is
closely adhered to,
including
appropriate
risk
assessments &
mitigation actions,
communications
to
the
relevant
business, technology, participants and
vendor stakeholders
The
role will
require
weekend
and
after-hour
installation/upgrades
and
technology
migrations
to
be
part
of support
roaster.
Understand
and
analyse
the
interdependencies
within
complex
systems,
troubleshoot
more
effectively
anticipating
how
changes
in
one part of the system might impact other dependencies
Must have skills:
5+
years
supporting
high
availability,
performance
and
time
critical
systems
Methodical problem-solving
skills
such
as
root-cause
analysis, post-issue
follow-up,
documentation
and
knowledge
transfer
Excellent
knowledge
of
ROMS
(SOL
server,
Oracle,
Postgres)
systems
including
SOL
scripting
Excellent
technical
skills
hosting
and
maintaining
applications
on
MS
Windows
Servers
*****)
and




Redhat
Linux.
Experience
with
production
systems
alerting
and
monitoring
tools
(Splunk,
ITRS, Observability)
Experience
with
DevOps
and Continuous
Integration
tools
(GITLAB,
Nexus, SonarOube)
Strong
programming
and
scripting skills
with
PowerShell,
Bash,
Perl
or
Python
Good
understanding
of
TCP/IP
networks
and
infrastructure
to diagnose
connectivity
issues.
Nice to have:
Passionate
about
solving
problems,
troubleshooting
software
issues
and
triaging
environment
issues.
Excellent
verbal
and
written
communication
skills
with
the
ability to
work
with
internal
and
external
stakeholders
Capital
Markets
industry
experience
such
as
understanding
of
Stocks
and
shares,
derivatives
markets,
and
the
business
processes
related to clearing of member trades
Lateral thinker - bring forward ideas that will automate repeatable tasks to reduce work effort and ensure quality
