Odyssey House NSW's trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency.
Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives.
We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families and community education.
Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

Description
We're seeking an Intake Specialist to support people at the first stage of their journey with us
Manage enquiries and referrals and undertake assessments for suitability
Support people through the waitlist and admission stages
Provide one-to-one and group support as required
Help cover the intake phone line
Delivered within our Model of Care
Works across the Sydney North region (Hornsby, Northern Beaches and Ryde) as the service grows
Flexible, multi-site work across Sydney North
Skills And Experiences
Relevant VET or tertiary qualification in a related field
Experience supporting people with AOD, mental health and/or co-occurring needs
Experience undertaking brief and comprehensive assessments
Experience working in a team to deliver coordinated support
Computer literacy including MS Office and client management systems
Strong communication skills including report and case note writing
Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm while supporting clients in high emotion situations
Current NSW Driver Licence
WWCC (for paid work)
National Police Check (>1 yr old)
Unrestricted right to work in Australia
COVID Vaccinated
