Join our state-wide Through Care Team with a direct focus on female youth clients who are considered to be of a high-risk of reoffending.
The role:
Deliver intensive and high-quality casework to a discrete number of targeted female youth detainees (both pre and post release);
Work collaboratively with correctional facility staff, specialist advocates and other stakeholders;
Provide specialist referral pathways to female youth clients and their families, and in many contexts, their communities;
Report on impact of your case work and network referrals;
Flexible working hours and rewarding social justice work;

About you:
Offer your experience with a Degree in Social Work or Behavioural Sciences from a recognised tertiary institution (or a minimum five (5) years' demonstrated work experience with equivalent competencies relating to the case management of clients in the Criminal Justice System);
Must be the holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work;
Demonstrate your professional familiarity with the Criminal Justice System;
Must hold a current Driver Licence, have a reliable driving history and be willing to drive for work (essential);
Experience working with clients in our network is highly regarded as are qualifications, research or current studies related to trauma-informed practice with young people and children.

It is a genuine occupational requirement to be female, to be able to provide a steady service to all clients but with a particular focus on female youth (and their families).
