Project Director
Bielby is
experiencing a period of sustained growth, supported by a strong pipeline of
major infrastructure opportunities.
Building
on more than 40 years of successful delivery across roads, bridges, rail,
water, resources and renewable energy, we are seeking an accomplished
Project
Director
to join our executive project delivery team.
Unlike a
traditional project-based appointment, this role will initially be focused on Precontracts,
Tender Leadership and Project Pursuits, with the successful candidate playing a
key role in securing Bielby's next major infrastructure projects.
Upon
successful project award, you will transition into a
Project Director
role, taking full ownership of project delivery from mobilisation through to
completion.
Projects may
be located across South East Queensland or Regional Queensland and will
typically range from $300M+ civil infrastructure projects, including transport,
road, bridge and major infrastructure programs.
This is an
ideal opportunity for an experienced
Project Director
who enjoys both
the strategic challenge of winning work and the operational challenge of
delivering it.
What You'll Do
Precontracts
& Bidding
Lead major tender submissions
for complex civil infrastructure projects.
Develop winning project
strategies, methodologies and delivery solutions.
Work closely with estimating,
engineering and commercial teams to shape competitive bids.
Lead tender workshops, client
presentations and interviews.
Drive risk identification,
opportunity analysis and overall bid strategy.
Build strong relationships with
clients, consultants and industry stakeholders.
Provide leadership and oversight
throughout EOI, RFP and tender phases.
Project
Delivery (Upon Award)
Take full ownership of project
mobilisation and delivery.
Lead multidisciplinary project
teams to achieve safety, commercial, quality and programme objectives.
Maintain accountability for
project profitability, client satisfaction and operational performance.
Drive contract management, risk
mitigation and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure the successful delivery
of projects in line with Bielby's values and commitments.
Mentor and develop future
project leaders across the business.
What You'll Bring
15+ years of major civil
infrastructure experience.
Proven success delivering
projects valued at $300M+.
Demonstrated experience leading
major tenders and competitive project pursuits.
Strong understanding of Design
& Construct and Alliance delivery models.
Bachelor of Civil Engineering or
related discipline.
Outstanding leadership,
stakeholder engagement and commercial capability.
Ability to build trust with
clients and successfully lead project teams through both bid and delivery
phases.
Strong commercial acumen with
expertise in contracts, risk and project controls.
Experience delivering road,
bridge, transport or major infrastructure projects will be highly
regarded.
