Fast-growing global brand, based in Sydney, is looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their team, working on high quality product designs and robust engineered solutions for consumer markets.

Role and
Responsibilities
You will be a confident, hands-on Electronics Engineer capable of delivering consumer product designs and robust engineered solutions to specification, with a high degree of quality.
Foremost, you will be aware of your design process and how this impacts not only the product lifecycle, but also how the product will affect the environment and community.
You will possess the enthusiasm and knowledge to contribute to the design of unique and impressive products.
Specifically, the role will include:
Ensuring products are holistically considered and linked to the company's mission and ethics
Detail design of electronics assembly, including schematic capture and solid PCB design
Fast turnaround electronics prototype construction, produced internally and with suppliers
Communicating with manufacturers on components selection, assembly development and production quality expectations
Contributing to the company's successful product compliance
Collaborating with the mechanical/industrial design team
Maintaining technical documentation and assisting with reports to stakeholders
Assisting in the creation of product performance test procedures to ensure the quality and safety of product satisfies regulatory standards and brand expectations
Supporting the development and delivery of the strategic product roadmap in an efficient and timely manner
Your Skills and Experience
You will have a degree in Electronics, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering with electromechanical experience in both a product design and manufacturing environment, plus:
Circa 5 years of engineering experience – preferably in the consumer product or medical industry
Motor driven product development experience (end-to-end)
Strong electronics design knowledge
Rapid prototyping skills, Arduino and MCU programming skills are a plus
Proven experience collaborating with cross functional teams as well as coordinating with international manufacturing partners
Familiarity with both regional and international electrical and safety compliance standards
High proficiency in PCP design software - Altium
