About the Role
We're looking for passionate and dedicated casual Psychiatric Enrolled Nurses to join our dynamic Mental Health Services team.
Our casual bank offers flexible opportunities across a range of areas:
Adult Acute Unit
Parent and Infant Unit
PARC – Prevention and Recovery Care Unit
Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU)
Steel Haughton Unit – Acute and Residential

To remain active on our casual bank, a minimum of 4 shifts per fortnight is required.
Due to the nature of casual employment, candidates must be living in the Ballarat region.
Mandatory Application Requirements:
Upload a cover letter and resume
Upload a copy of your Diploma of Nursing and academic transcript
Be able to provide a minimum of 2 referees: 1 being your current direct manager and the other(s) an additional manager or supervisor
Key Responsibilities
Caring for a diverse range of patients and residents in varied care settings
Ability and willingness to provide high quality, direct care within scope of practice
Complete tasks under direction of NUM / ANUM / RPN on shift
Complete mental state exams and risk assessments for consumers
Administer medications in accordance with established governance and protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive, patient focussed outcomes
Maintain accurate care plans and documentation
Provide accurate and timely communication with residents, visitors and staff at all levels within Grampians Health
Participate in annual performance reviews
Promote a positive and inclusive care environment
Maintain accurate availability and accepting shifts based on availability
Skills & Experience
Medication endorsement
Prior experience / recent placement in a Mental Health setting
Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Current AHPRA Registration
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain if working in Care Community
Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
