Job description:
Infrastructure Delivery Lead
The Technical Infrastructure Delivery Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, governance, operational management, and transformation of enterprise infrastructure services.
The successful candidate will lead large-scale infrastructure programs, including Data Centre (DC) migrations, infrastructure modernization, cloud and hybrid platform initiatives, disaster recovery, cyber security, operational support, and service transformation programs.
The role acts as the primary liaison between customer stakeholders, infrastructure teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery and operational excellence.
This position is ideally suited to an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Manager or Datacentre Technology Lead with proven experience delivering infrastructure services within large enterprise environments.
Mandatory Experience
Essential
Minimum 12+ years of Infrastructure Services and Technology Delivery experience.
Minimum 5+ years leading enterprise infrastructure delivery teams.
Proven experience delivering large-scale Data Centre Migration programs (

).
Proven experience managing complex infrastructure transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting mission-critical enterprise platforms.
Strong experience across Infrastructure Operations and Managed Services environments.
Experience managing multi-vendor delivery ecosystems.
Experience working within Utilities, Government, Banking, Healthcare, Telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries.
Solid customer-facing and executive stakeholder management experience.
Australian Citizenship (

Highly Desirable
GovDC migration experience.
Government or Critical Infrastructure sector experience.
Hybrid Cloud and Cloud Transformation experience.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Delivery Leadership
Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise infrastructure services.
Manage infrastructure operations covering compute, storage, backup, virtualization, network, security, monitoring, and workplace services.
Drive service excellence aligned to contracted SLAs, KPIs, availability, and performance targets.
Establish delivery governance, executive reporting, risk management, and continual service improvement frameworks.
Manage onshore and offshore delivery teams and ensure alignment with customer business objectives.
Data Centre Migration & Infrastructure Transformation (Mandatory)
Lead large-scale Data Centre migration programs from planning through post-migration stabilization.
Develop migration strategies covering physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Manage infrastructure migration assessments, architecture reviews, planning workshops, migration runbooks, cutover execution, and hypercare activities.
Coordinate application, infrastructure, security, vendor, and business teams during migration initiatives.
Manage infrastructure transformation programs involving datacentre consolidation, modernization, and cloud adoption.
Lead RAID management, dependency tracking, business continuity planning, and migration risk mitigation.
Drive successful migration outcomes with minimal business disruption.
Infrastructure Architecture & Governance
Review and approve infrastructure architecture and design artefacts.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, resilience, scalability, and compliance requirements.
Support infrastructure roadmaps and technology modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and technology partners.
Service Management & Operations
Lead Incident, Problem, Change, Capacity, Availability, Configuration, and Service Request Management processes.
Ensure operational readiness for project and transformation initiatives.
Drive observability, monitoring, automation, and AIOps adoption.
Lead Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and recovery exercises.
Ensure operational stability of critical business systems.
Security & Compliance
Ensure infrastructure services comply with organizational security standards and customer requirements.
Partner with cyber security teams to manage vulnerabilities, patching, remediation, and compliance activities.
Support security audits and regulatory obligations.
Promote Security by Design principles across all infrastructure projects.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Build trusted relationships with customer executives and technology stakeholders.
Lead infrastructure governance and steering committee discussions.
Manage third-party suppliers, cloud providers, datacentre providers, and managed service partners.
Provide executive-level communication on delivery status, risks, and transformation outcomes.
Team Leadership
Lead a multidisciplinary infrastructure team comprising:

VMware Specialists
Network Engineers
Security Specialists
Storage & Backup SMEs
Service Management Professionals
Cloud & Automation Engineers
Mentor and develop technical leadership capability.
