About the role
Mater Mercy Food Services is seeking a friendly and reliable
Food Services Assistant - Storeperson
to join our Rockhampton team in a
permanent full-time position.
We are seeking a flexible team member who is available to work Monday to Friday, with shifts rostered between
6:00am and 4:00pm
.
In this hands-on role, you'll be part of a fast-paced operation and supportive team that plays an essential role in delivering high-quality food services to hospital and aged care customers.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour
plus superannuation
and
access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900

What you'll be doing
The Foodservice Assistant – Storeperson is responsible for designated dispatch and food bank tasks which assist in providing a quality food service to customers.
The role contributes to the efficient receipt, storage, management, picking, packing, and distribution of stock and food products, ensuring seamless operations and timely communication to maintain high-quality inventory control across the service.
Receive, store, pick, pack and distribute food and stock to support efficient food service operations.
Maintain accurate inventory control, including stock rotation, stocktakes and monitoring stock levels.
Ensure food safety and quality standards are met through correct handling, storage, labelling and temperature monitoring of food products.
Prepare and dispatch food products according to schedules, ensuring orders are complete, correctly labelled and ready for transport.
Work collaboratively with the food services team to identify and resolve stock and operational issues, supporting high-quality customer service
About you
A Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) is desirable, but not mandatory
Experience in warehousing, stores, logistics or inventory management, ideally within a food production, food service or warehouse environment.
Experience using inventory management systems and maintaining accurate stock records.
Sound understanding of food safety, food handling and workplace health and safety practices.
A reliable team player with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
