We're looking for someone who is comfortable balancing operational planning and administration with hands-on support in the yard, equipment movements, and deliveries and collections when required.
The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between the office and the yard throughout the day—checking equipment, stock and dispatch readiness, assisting with yard activities, supporting drivers and workshop personnel, and helping with deliveries and collections to keep operations running smoothly.
We're looking for someone who is ready to take ownership, build their operational and leadership experience, and contribute wherever the branch needs support.
You will also be willing and able to drive company vehicles and assist with deliveries, collections and equipment movements when required.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Planning and managing daily driver, labour and equipment schedules
Coordinating deliveries, collections, mobilisations and equipment movements
Assisting with deliveries and collections when required to support operational needs
Providing hands-on support in the yard, including equipment movements, dispatch preparation and general yard activities
Conducting regular yard checks to ensure equipment, stock and workspaces are clean, organised and dispatch-ready
Confirming equipment and site readiness before deliveries and installations
Prioritising RPM-owned equipment and helping minimise overtime and cross-hire costs
Working closely with the workshop team to prioritise equipment repairs and turnaround
Supporting weekly stocktakes and maintaining accurate inventory records
Building positive relationships with customers, suppliers and transport providers
Working closely with the sales team to confirm equipment availability and meet delivery requirements
Scheduling and managing messages for VMS boards
Developing your knowledge of fleet management, equipment maintenance, logistics operations and cost control.
Looking for practical ways to improve day-to-day operations and support the wider team.
Championing RPM Hire's safety culture and ensuring incidents and hazards are reported promptly
What you will bring
Some knowledge or experience in fleet, equipment and logistics operations, with a willingness to continue developing your knowledge
Strong scheduling, organisation and resource-planning skills and learning our scheduling tools
A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to actively assist with yard operations such as deliveries with a ute as required
Willingness to work across both office and yard environments as part of your normal day-to-day responsibilities
Confidence communicating with drivers, customers and the wider team
Excellent attention to detail across administration, data entry and reporting
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and best practices in logistics and equipment hire.
