About the role
Mater Hospital Springfield
is seeking compassionate and dedicated
Registered Nurses
to join our
Emergency Department
on a
permanent full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.5 FTE).
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment at Mater Hospital Springfields' brand new Emergency Department, which opened in **** and features a total of 59 beds, including 52 adult beds and 7 paediatric beds.
You will deliver exceptional patient care, work alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families, all within a state-of-the-art facility designed to support high-quality, productive care in a supportive environment.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour
plus superannuation
and
access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900
+

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
You will:
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and urgent conditions
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
Advocate for patients, ensuring their physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met
Collaborate closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams to coordinate care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient safety and risk management activities
Support the education and mentoring of students, graduates and less experienced staff
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain contemporary clinical knowledge
About you




You are a caring and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
You will demonstrate:
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated clinical experience in an acute care setting, ideally within an Emergency Department
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care and continuous improvement
Passion for professional development, learning and mentoring others
Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
